I am a game development student with a broad understanding of game systems, production workflows, and player-focused design. While my background is rooted in QA and testing, my work naturally expanded into coordinating ideas, shaping mechanics, and structuring game flow across multiple projects. This has led me to take on responsibilities commonly associated with a producer or design-focused generalist role.

I have a strong analytical understanding of games across many genres, which I use to identify mechanics, loops, and patterns that work, and why they work. This allows me to contribute effectively during early concepting, mechanical ideation, and iteration. I frequently translate abstract ideas into structured design documents, helping turn creative discussions into clear, actionable plans that a team can build upon.

My approach to development is system-driven: I enjoy defining a core mechanic or experience goal and building a cohesive game flow around it, including pacing, feedback, and player clarity. I have hands-on experience with UE 5 and Unity, including experimentation with VR and adaptive audio, which helps me communicate effectively with technical and creative disciplines and anticipate production challenges early.

I am particularly interested in the intersection of mechanics, narrative justification, and player experience. Understanding how design decisions affect scope, usability, and production feasibility is central to how I work. I value clarity, iteration, and collaboration, and I naturally gravitate toward roles that require overview, structure, and communication across disciplines.

 

I am currently studying Creative Media & Game Technologies at Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
